MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 1096, November 2, 1978 ] FURTHER AMENDING MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 37 DATED FEBRUARY 22, 1971, AS AMENDED BY MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 727 DATED APRIL 18, 1974 Memorandum Circular No. 437 dated February 22, 1971, entitled “Revising the Policy Regarding the Granting of Representation Allowances to Local Government Officials” is hereby further amended to include among the conditions imposed in the penultimate paragraph thereof with respect to local officials not specifically enumerated therein, the submission, through the Ministry of Finance, of the resolution of the local legislative body favorably recommending the grant of representation allowance to the local government official concerned together with a description of the functions and activities of the position as a basis for approval by this Office of such requests. All local government officials falling under this category, notwithstanding previous authority granted, shall cease to receive representation allowances effective January 1, 1979, pending review by this Office.1aшphi1 By authority of the President: (Sgd.)
