AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE OF ENGINEERS OF THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HIGHWAYS IN THE SECOND CONFERENCE OF THE ROAD ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF AIBA AND AUSTRALIA (REAAA) TO BE HELD AT THE PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER ON OCTOBER 16-20, 1978, SPONSORED BY THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC HIGHWAYS.

The Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australia (REAAA) and the Association of Engineers connected with the construction, improvement and maintenance of roads and bridges throughout Asia and Australiaasia will hold its Second Conference-workshop in Metro Manila on October 16-20, 1978 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The objective of this conference-workshop is to broaden the technical knowledge of the members on the subject of road-building, research, design, planning, construction and maintenance of roads, through an exchange of technical know-how by the presentation and discussion of technical papers and workshop activities during the period of the conferences.

To enable all engineers of the Ministry of Public Highways, especially those young engineers with high potentials, to share in the technical discussion of matters pertaining to road and bridge-building and thereby enrich their knowledge on this subject which in the long run would prove to be an asset to their administering their duties in the Ministry of Public Highways and to give as many engineers in the Ministry the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and acquire new information from the representatives of Australasia and other than six (6) engineers from very bureau, technical services and regional offices and not more than three (3) representatives from each district and city office to attend this conference. Authorized participants shall be allowed reasonable expenses for transportation and per diems and the conference-workshops fee of ?600.00 per participant, chargeable against the appropriation of their respective and the usual accounting and auditing procedures and regulations. It is understood that participants residing in the Metro Manila Area shall not be entitled to transportation expenses but will only be entitled to the conference-workshop fee.

Participant shall submit their respective agency heads a report on their attendance with their observations and comments on the deliberations and subjects taken up in the conference within thirty (30) days from termination thereof.1aшphi1
