AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY SEMINAR SPONSORED BY THE INTEGRATED NATIONAL POLICE AND THE OFFICE OF CIVIL DEFENSE IN COORDINATION WITH THE SAFETY ORGANIZATION OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC.

The Integrated National Police and Office of Civil Defense, in coordination with the SOPI, will hold a fire and life safety-seminar at the La Naval Hall, Manila International Airport, Pasay City on March 29-30, 1977.

The seminar aims to train building administrators on how to conduct fire safety inspection and abatement of hazard in government offices and in mobilizing employees to save lives, critical records, suppliers and equipment and for fire fighting should the need arise.

All heads of departments, chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send a maximum of two (2) persons each preferably administrative officers, property custodians or building administrators to the seminar on official time with reasonable expenses for transportation, per diems, and seminar fees not exceeding ?100.00 per participant, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 344- dated November 26, 1973, as implemented by COA General Circular No. 127 dated November 27, 1973, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements, as an exception to Memorandum Circular No. 593 of this Office dated August 8, 1972.

It is understood that participants residing or stationed within the Greater Manila Area shall be entitled to reasonable expenses for transportation and registration fee only.1aшphi1

The participants shall submit to their respective agency head a report with recommendations on how to implement what they learned in the seminar and a plan for the conduct of echo seminars therein within thirty (30) days after the termination of the seminar.
