[ Memorandum Circular No. 911, June 9, 1976 ]

REQUIRING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE METRO-MANILA AREA TO ATTEND THE CEREMONIES ON JUNE 12 ON THE OCCASION OF THE 78TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE

At least fifty (50) officials and employees from each Department, Bureau and Agency of the government in the Metro-Manila area are hereby required to attend the ceremonies at the Luneta on June 12, 1976 on the occasion of the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence. The ceremonies start at 7:00 a.m., with the nationwide hoisting of the Philippine Flag and wreath-laying at the Rizal Monument to be led by His Excellency, the President of the Philippines.

In view of the significance of the event, it is imperative that the ceremonies commemorating the occasion be witnessed and participated in by the aforementioned officials and employees.

Accordingly, all heads of departments, bureaus and offices including government-owned and controlled corporations in the Metro-Manila area are hereby enjoined to see to it that the provisions of this Circular are strictly complied with and direct the said officials and employees to be at the site of the Rizal Monument not later than 6:45 a.m.1aшphi1
