AUTHORIZING THE SENDING OF DELEGATES TO THE SEMINAR-WORKSHOP ON “METRIFICATION.”

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) and the Philippine Standards Association (PHILSA) will jointly sponsor, with the cooperation of the Government’s Metric System Board, a Seminar-Workshop on “METRIFICATION” on April 21 and 22, 1976 at the Centroid, 395 Quezon Boulevard Extension, Quezon City (Between Aberdeen Court and Delta Theater).

The Seminar-Workshop will feature lectures, discussions and open forums to he conducted by professionals from the government and private sectors involved in metrification. Those professionals will discuss their programs, time table, accomplishments and extent of implementation of metrification in their offices and/or field of business.

In view hereof, all heads of departments, bureaus, offices, including the various regional offices, as well as government-owned or controlled corporations and local governments in the Metro Manila Area and nearby provinces, are hereby authorized to send not more than two (2) participants in this Seminar-Workshop, whose work is concerned with civil engineering, building and construction industries and products. Participants from government agencies shall be allowed to attend on official time, as well as reasonable expenses for transportation, and conference fee of ?80.00, chargeable against the appropriation of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The delegates shall submit to their agency heads a report of attendance and participation within 30 days following the closing of the Seminar-Workshop.1aшphi1
