AUTHORIZING THE SENDING OF DELEGATES TO THE NINTH NATIONAL CONVENTION OF GOVERNMENT CIVIL ENGINEERS OF THE PHILIPPINES.
The Association of Government Civil Engineers of the Philippines (AGCEP) will hold its Ninth National Convention at Metro Manila on April 21-24, 1976 on the theme: “Government Civil Engineer and Energy Conservation.”
The main feature of the convention will be discussions on the role of government civil engineers in the current energy crisis. They will explore ways and means by which they can continue to accomplish desired goals of energy conservation despite problems brought about by world-wide inflation, calamities, and the demand for a broader infrastructure program that could amply respond to the country’s ever growing needs.
All heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus, offices, chartered cities and provincial governments, as well as government-owned and controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send not more than four (4) of their civil engineers who are members of the AGCEP to this convention. Various public works and public highways engineering districts may send one representative each. This limitation as to number does not apply to conference officials. Those attending shall be allowed reasonable expenses for transportation, and other necessary expenses incident thereto in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No 344 dated November 26, I973, as implemented by COA General Circular No. 127, series of 19731 chargeable against the funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.1aшphi1
The delegates shall submit a report of their attendance to their agency heads within 30 days after the end of the convention
