[ Memorandum Circular No. 890, January 23, 1976 ]

REMINDING ALL CONCERNED OF THE OBLIGATION TO FILE THEIR SWORN STATEMENT OF ASSETS AND LIABILITIES UNDER REPUBLIC ACT NO. 3019, AS AMENDED BY PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 677, DATED MARCH 31, 1975.

Under Section 7 of Republic Act No. 3019, otherwise known as the Anti-Graft Law, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 677, dated March 31, 1975, every public officer is required to file with the Department Head concerned his statement of assets and liabilities “within thirty (30) days after assuming office, and within the month of January every year thereafter as well as upon the expiration of his term of office, or upon his resignation or separation from office.” In the case of a Department Head or chief of an independent office, the statement shall be filed with the Office of the President.

For the proper guidance of all concerned, it is hereby informed that public officers who file their statements in 1975, under Letter of Instructions No. 262, dated March 31, 1975, are required to file their new Sworn Statement of Assets and Liabilities within the month of January, 1976.1aшphi1 The statement shall cover calendar year 1975.

For this purpose, the form (Annex “A” only) prescribed under Letter of Instructions No. 262, dated March 31, 1975, shall be used.
