AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION IN THE MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES COURSE ORGANIZED BY THE INSTITUTE FOR SMALL-SCALE INDUSTRIES IN COOPERATION WITH THE WESTINGHOUSE LEARNING CORPORATION ON THE U.S.A.
The Institute for Small-Scale Industries of the University of the Philippines, in cooperation with the Westinghouse Learning Corporation of the U.S.A., is organizing a Management Techniques Course on November 10-14, 1975, A management program for supervisors, this course is a systems approach to the work of a professional manager—planning, organizing, implementing, reviewing (measuring) and feedback. Principles, practices and skills of modern management will be learned.
In view of the relevance of the course objectives to the Government’s thrust of establishing a corps of careers government officers with highly developed skills in problem analysis and decision making, willingness to assume managerial responsibility, capacity to lead, to communicate, to inspire cooperation and to get things done, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned and/or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send to the said management techniques course their qualified supervisors especially those involved in initiating changes in their offices or organizations.
Their participation shall be on official time, with reasonable expenses for transportation and other necessary expenses incident thereto in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 3847, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 344 dated November 26, 1973, Circular No. 127, series of 1973, chargeable against the funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability thereof and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.1aшphi1
The participants shall submit a report to their respective agency heads on their attendance in the course within fifteen (15) days upon completion thereof.
