MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 862, September 2, 1975 ] AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE SYMPOSIUM TO BE HELD ON THE OCCASION OF THE CELEBRATION OF THE DIAMOND JUBILEE (75TH ANNIVERSARY) OF THE PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE. In connection with the celebration of the Diamond Jubilee (75th anniversary) of the Philippine Civil Service, a symposium will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on September 18, 1975, at the DBP Auditorium, Makati, Rizal, under the auspices of the Civil Service Commission and the various government-employee organizations. The theme of this year’s celebration is “75 Taong Paglilingkod Sa Bayan.” Five major subjects will be covered in the symposium, namely, civil services reorganization, salary standardization, medicare and employee’s compensation under the Labor Code. Considering the significance of the occasion and the importance of the subject matters to be discussed, all heads of departments, chiefs of bureaus and offices and government-owned or controlled corporations, as well as local government units within the Greater Manila Area, are hereby authorized to send about ten (10) officials and/or employees each to the symposium on official time. The participants shall submit to their respective office heads a report on their attendance in the symposium within thirty (30; days after the termination thereof.1aшphi1 By authority of the President: (SGD.)
