AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE SEMINAR ON INSTITUTION AND MANAGEMENT OF POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAMS SPONSORED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF MANAGEMENT AND INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERS OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC.

The Association of Management., and Industrial Engineers of the Philippines, Inc.,an association- of-management and industrial engineering practitioners and consultants from the government and the private sectors, will hold a follow-up seminar on pollution control in Manila on September 16-17, 1975, on the theme: “The Institution and Management of an Industrial Pollution Control Program.”

The main objective of this seminar is to discuss means of contriving control devices which would minimize the danger of air, water and marine pollution, as well as counter-measures which would prevent injury to human health.

All heads of departments, chiefs of bureaus and offices, both national and local, including government-owned or controlled corporations, that are involved in the anti-pollution drive of the government, are hereby authorized to send not more than two (2) representatives, preferably members of the association, to the seminar on official time with reasonable expenses for transportation, subsistence and lodging and seminar foes, all chargeable against the appropriation of their respective offices, in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 344- dated November 26, 1973, as implemented by COAGeneral Circular No. 127 dated November 27, 1973, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements, as an exception to Memorandum Circular No. 593 of this-Office dated August 8, 1972. The limitation on the number of representatives shall not apply to members of the AMIEP-and seminar officials.

It is understood that participants residing or stationed within the Greater Manila Area shall be entitled to reasonable expenses for transportation and seminar fees only.1aшphi1

The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their attendance and participation in the seminar within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof. Likewise, within the same period, a report and evaluation of the seminar should be submitted to this Office. The report thereon should include a financial statement of income and expenses duly audited by a Certified Public Accountant not connected with the Association.
