URGING ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION IN THE ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS ORGANIZED BY THE PHILIPPINE SOCIETY FOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT.

The Philippine Society for Training and .Development (PSTD), a professional organization dedicated to human resource development, is organizing a series of workshops on Organization Development (OD) to be held on July 7-11, 1975. These week-long OD Workshops are designed to provide the participants an opportunity to learn and experience organizational development concepts and policies.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants are expected to be able:

1. To identify and describe concepts behind some behavioral science theories.

2. To identify and determine the effects of some typical behavioral patterns in organizations.

3. To identify and experience some group development processes that tend to make groups more effective.

4. To pinpoint suitable applications of OD interventions.

5. To reflect on the workshop experience for application to oneself and possible areas in the back home situation.

In view of the relevance of the OD Workshop thrust to our national goal of developing the new Filipino and establishing a.1aшphi1 new society for the Filipino people, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned and/or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send to the PSTD OD Workshops their training officers, especially those involved in effecting or inducing planned change activities in their organizations.

Their participation shall be on official time, with reasonable expenses for transportation and other necessary expenses incident thereto in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 3847, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 344 dated November 26, 1973, and as implemented by the COA General Circular No. 127, series of 1973, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual audit.

The participants shall submit to their respective office heads a report of their attendance in the Workshop within fifteen (15) days after the termination thereof.
