ENCOURAGING AND AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE AT THE ANNUAL COMPUTER CONFERENCE OF THE DATA PROCESSING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES

The Data Processing Management Association (DPMA) of the Philippines will hold its annual Computer Conference on March 18-21, 1975 at the Plaza, Makati, Rizal, on the theme: Information and Computer Technology in the Philippines: Its roles, Impact and New Goals”.

Computer and Information Science experts, practitioners and educators from the Philippines, United States and other Southeast Asian countries will participate as speakers and panelists.1aшphi1 The DPMA Computer Conference will explore the role of computers and information science in national development, in the light of the rapid political and social changes in Southeast Asia, particularly in the Philippines.

All heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations are hereby encourage and authorized to send their respective employees involved in electronic data processing and/or information processing activities on official time as an exception to Memorandum Circular No. 593, series of 1973, provided that no government expense will be involved in connection therewith.

The participants shall submit to their respective office heads a report of their attendance in the conference within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof.
