CREATING AN AD-HOC COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE LAND TENURE PROBLEM IN THE TONDO FORESHORE LAND AND RECOMMEND ALTERNATIVE APPROACHES TO ITS RESOLUTION

1. Recognizing that the land tenure issue is the root problem in the Tondo Foreshore land and its resolution shall permit the implementation of the government’s development plans for the area now being prepared by the Tondo Foreshore Development Authority, an Ad-Hoc Committee is hereby created to study the problem and recommend to the Authority alternative solutions.

2. The Ad-Hoc Committee shall be composed of the following;

3. The Ad-Hoc Committee is charged with, the fol­lowing functions:

a. Collect, analyze and integrate all data relating to the land tenure issue in the Tondo Foreshore land.

b. Conduct public hearings on the land tenure issue to solicit comments, views and proposals on the resolution of the problem.

c. Formulate alternative approaches to the resolution of the problem and examine the implications of such alternatives.

d. Recommend measures/actions to the Tondo Foreshore Development Authority, in­tended to resolve the problem.

4. The Tondo Foreshore Development Authority shall provide administrative support to the Ad-Hoc Committee including personnel, office space and equipment.

5. The Ad-Hoc Committee is directed to render periodic reports on its deliverations to the Tondo’ Foreshore Development Authority and to submit its findings and recommendations on the problem on or before 28 February 1975.

6.1aшphi1 All government agencies and instrumentali­ties are directed to make available to the Committee all records, information and other data relating to the Tondo Foreshore lands and to extend such assistance that the Committee may need in discharging its functions.
