URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE FIRST ASIAN CONFERENCE ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZED BY THE PHILIPPINE SOCIETY FOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT WITH THE UP INSTITUTE FOR SMALL-SCALE INDUSTRIES, NATIONAL MANPOWER AND YOUTH COUNCIL, DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY OF THE PHILIPPINES AND POPULATION COMMISSION

The Philippine Society for Training and Development with the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries, National Manpower and Youth Council, Development Academy of the Philippines, and the Population Commission is sponsoring the four (4)-day live-in First Asian Conference on Training and Development at the Philippine Village Hotel, Manila International Airport, Pasay City on November 6 to 9, 1974.

The objective of the conference is the formulation of a regional cooperative approach to development in the Asian Region. The conference shall be divided into the following modules:

1) Training and Development of Human Resources in Asia: Innovations, Applications and Concerns

2) Training Needs for Population Education and Family Planning Programs

3) Organization of an Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO).

In view of the relevance of the foregoing to the national development efforts, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including those of government owned and controlled corporations, are hereby urged to send not more than two (2) delegates each, who must be training officers and/or personnel involved in human resources development, to the said conference on official time with expenses for conference fees, transportation, subsistence and lodging pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 3847, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 344 dated November 26, 1973, and as implemented by Commission on Audit (COA) General Circular No. 127, series of 1973, chargeable against the funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability thereof and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

It is understood that participants residing or permanently stationed in the Greater Manila Area shall not be entitled to expenses for lodging and transportation.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷

The participants shall submit a report to their respective agency heads on their attendance in the said convention within fifteen (15) days upon termination thereof.
