[ Memorandum Circular No. 707, February 26, 1974 ]

ENJOINING ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, ENTITIES AND INSTRUMENTALITIES TO SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE IN THE “PISTAHAN” OR NATIONAL AGRIBUSINESS AND FOOD FAIR OF THE GREATER MANILA TERMINAL FOOD MARKET.

WHEREAS, the Greater Manila Terminal Food Market is launching the PISTAHAN GMTFM, a national agribusiness, food and cultural fair, on April 19, 1974, and to last until May 19, 1974;

WHEREAS, the exposition will highlight the combined, interrelated and mutually dependent efforts of the public and private sectors in the production of food, agricultural raw materials, export products, and other industries vital to the country’s economic development;

WHEREAS, the fair will also feature cultural, entertainment and sports event to insure maximum exposure of products and services promoted by all participants; and

WHEREAS, all this is aimed at encouraging and promoting greater production both in goods and services, and enhancing the socio-cultural life of our people to the end that the aims and purposes and the long-range objectives of the New Society may be fully achieved;

WHEREFORE, all heads of departments, bureaus, offices, agencies and instrumentalities of the government, both national and local, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby enjoined to support and take part in the PISTAHAN GMTFM or National Agribusiness and Food Fair of the Greater Manila Terminal Food Market, to be held from April 19 to May 19, 1974.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷

For this purpose, it is hereby authorized that the participation of all concerned during the period covered by PISTAHAN GMTFM and the expenditures incurred therein, may be considered proper charges against appropriate funds of such participating agencies, entities and instrumentalities.
