AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE NATIONAL SEMINAR-WORKSHOP FOR MASAGANA 99 RADIO BROADCASTERS.
The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the National Food and Agriculture Council, the Department of Public Information, the National Media Production Center, the Rural Broadcasters Council, and the Department of Agricultural Communications, U.P. College of Agriculture, will conduct a seminar-workshop on rural broadcasting and the MASAGANA 99 rice production program on November 20-24, 1973, at the U.P. College of Agriculture, Los Baņos, Laguna.
The seminar-workshop will assess the performance of radio in the information program of MASAGANA 99, identify and recommend solution to field programs in rural broadcasting for MASAGANA 99, and to derive general insights for research on the role and effectiveness of radio in development campaigns.
Since development efforts of the government will heavily rely on radio as a major means of communicating with the rural sector, all the officially designated MASGANA 99 broadcasters in the provinces and members of the Rural Broadcasters Council are hereby authorized to attend the seminar-workshop on official time with reasonable expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and seminar fees, chargeable against the appropriation of their respective agencies, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements, as an exception to Memorandum Circular No. 593, series of 1972.
The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their attendance in the seminar within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof.1âшphi1
