URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE FIRST ANNUAL CONVENTION FOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZED BY THE PHILIPPINE SOCIETY FOR TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
The Philippine Society for Training and Development (PSTD), a professional organization dedicated to human resources development, will organized the First Annual Convention for Training and Development at the Hyatt Regency Manila, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, on May 24-26, 1973, on the theme: “Training Horizons in the 70s.”
The Convention will bring to fore the importance of human resources development and focus current and future trends in HRD-related activities and programs. Discussions will, therefore, be centered on the presentation of a system’s approach to manpower training and development. Likewise, the Convention will give cognizance to the increase role and significance of other disciplines in training theories and techniques. Thus, specific training techniques and practices such as T-Groups, Mini-Labs and the Like will be given ample exposure during the Convention.
In view if the timeliness of the Convention theme, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send to the Convention not more than two (2) of their training officers or such of their employees as are involved in human resources development, if any there be. Their participation shall be on official business, that is, with reasonable expenses for transportation and other necessary expenses incident thereto in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 3847 as implemented by GAO Circular No. 88-A, series of 1964, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual audit.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷
The participants shall submit to their respective office heads a report of their attendance and participation in the Convention within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof.
