[ Memorandum Circular No. 629, April 3, 1973 ]

URGING ALL CONCERNED TO COMMEMORATE THE 31ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALL OF BATAAN AND CORRIGIDOR WITH APPROPRIATE CEREMONIES AND/OR ACTIVITIES SYMBOLIC OF THE REBIRTH OF A NEW NATION.

WHEREAS, the forthcoming anniversary of the Fall of Bataan and Corrigidor shall be celebrated in a manner that shall reflect the rebirth of a new nation;

WHEREAS, to emphasize the overriding significance of the occasion, the school children shall wear the New Society pin which shall be distributed by the Department of Education;

WHEREFORE, al heads of departments, bureaus and offices, local governments, including government-owned or controlled corporations and instrumentalities of the government are hereby urged to carry out the objective of this Circular.⚖ - ℒαɯρhi৷
