MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 588, July 13, 1972 ] AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE CONVENTION SEMINAR OF THE ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENT INTERNAL AUDITORS (AGIA), INC. The Association of Government Internal Auditors (AGIA), Inc. will hold a convention-seminar in Cebu City on September 27-29, 1972, on the theme: “Internal Auditing As An Effective Instrument In Improving Government Operations.” All heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations are hereby authorized to send to the convention-seminar not more than three (3) of their Internal Auditors who are members of the Association. Their attendance shall be on official time and their expenses for transportation, subsistence and lodging, and convention fees shall be charged against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual auditing requirements. It is understood that the participants stationed in Cebu City shall be entitled to reasonable transportation expenses and convention fees only. The participants shall submit to their respective office heads a report on their attendance in the convention within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof.1âшphi1 By authority of the President: (SGD.)
