[ Memorandum Circular No. 574, May 22, 1972 ]
CREATING A COMMITTEE TO SIMPLIFY VISA AND IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CATEGORIES OF FOREIGN ENTRANTS.
A Committee is hereby created to review and assess the present visa and immigration requirements imposed by the Philippine Government on all categories of foreign entrants with a view of simplifying the same in the interest of, particularly, the promotion of tourism, and encouragement of foreign investment.
The Committee shall be composed of the following:

A representative of the Bureau of Immigration |

A representative of the Bureau of Customs |
Member |
A representative of the Central Bank of the Philippines |
Member |
The Committee is enjoined to redefine the objectives and the procedures of the present requirements, consistent with the demands of promoting the tourism industry and the entry of foreign capital in selected area if investment.
The Committee is hereby empowered to call on any department, bureau, office and other instrumentality of the government for such assistance as it may need in the accomplishment of its mission.1âшphi1
The Committee shall submit its report within thirty days from the date hereof.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
