AUTHORIZING GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL TO ATTEND ON OFFICIAL TIME TRAINING ACTIVITIES CoNDUCTED BY THE NATIONAL ELECTRIFICATION ADMINISTRATION IN CoNNECTION WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROGRAM.
Pursuant to the provisions of R. A. 6018, the NEA is directed to promote, encourage and assist public service entities, particularly cooperatives, to the end of achieving the objectives of making service available throughout the nation on an area coverage basis.1âшphi1
In order to make such assistance truly effective, the NEA is hereby authorized to conduct a series of training activities geared towards total information concerning the rural electrification program and making electric cooperative operationally viable , not only national level, but down to provincial and municipal levels as well.
In view of the foregoing, NEA will from time to time schedule seminar-workshops, on-the-job training and conferences related to the implementation of national electrification program. Government personnel invited by NEA to attend these training activities are hereby authorized to attend such activities on official time. Personnel attending these activities shall submit to their agency heads a report on their attendance within 30 days after the termination thereof.
