FURTHER AMENDING MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 191, SERIES OF 1968.
Memorandum Circular No. 191 of this Office dated June 10, 1968, as amended, entitled “PRESCRIBING THE POLICY REGARDING THE GRANT OF TRANSPORTATION AND REPRESENTATION ALLOWANCES, INCLUDING OTHERS OF SIMILAR NATURE, PAYABLE OUT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FUNDS, TO JUDGES OF COURTS OF FIRST INSTANCE AND COURTS OF EQUIVALENT RANK AND JUDGES OF CITY AND MUNICIPAL COURTS AND OTHER NATIONAL OFFICIALS BELONGING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,” Is hereby further amended so that the paragraph inserted between the 3rd and 4th paragraphs thereof under Memorandum Circular No. 296 of this Office dated November 3, 1969, shall read as follows1âшphi1
“in addition thereto, representation allowances not exceeding P300.00 monthly may, in the discretion of the provincial board or city council, be granted to judges of courts of first instance and those of courts of equivalent rank who are not receiving representation allowances from the national government. Likewise, judges of the city courts of Manila, Quezon City and Cebu City may, in the discretion of the city council be allowed to receive representation allowances not exceeding P200.00 monthly, provided that they are not receiving representation allowances from the national government. The provincial and city fiscals shall continue to receive representation allowances under Memorandum Circular No. 138 dated December 15, 1967, at therein authorized.”
