REMINDING ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF THE OBSERVANCE OF “RAMON MAGSAYSAY MEMORIAL DAY” ON MARCH 17, 1972.
WHEREAS, March 17th of each year has been declared under Proclamation No. 15, dated March 7, 1966, as “Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Day;”
WHEREAS, the Proclamation includes the following commemorative features in the observance of the day:
(1) All Philippine flags here and abroad shall be flown at half-mast;
(2) A 21-gun salute shall be fired at high noon in all Philippine military areas, after which the flags shall again be raised; and
(3) All public schools and government offices throughout the country shall hold brief programs not to exceed 30 minutes, the main features of which are the reading of the Magsaysay Credo and a one-minute silent prayer.1âшphi1
WHEREFORE, Proclamation No. 15, dated March 7, 1966, is hereby reiterated, and all government offices and public schools are accordingly reminded of said Proclamation and are further enjoined to commemorate and keep proper observance of March 17th of this year as “Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Day.”
