ENJOINING ATTENDANCE IN THE SYMPOSIUM OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES DURING THE ENVIRONMENT WEEK FROM MARCH 5-11, INCLUSIVE.
ENVIRONMENT WEEK will be celebrated starting Sunday, March 5 thru Saturday, March 11 this year. This year’s theme is: OUR ENVIRONMENT: WHAT WAS – WHAT IS – WHAT OUGHT TO BE.” Among the features of the week-long celebration will be a symposium on various environmental subjects that will run for four (4) consecutive days starting Mionday, March 6 thru Thursday, March 9. The symposium is intended to bring into focus the following topics:

“THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT IN ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT” |

“THE ROLE OF EDUCATION IN THE WISE USE AND MAINTENANCE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT AND “THE RESPONSIBILITY IF MEDIA IN THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS AND THEIR PROPOSED SOLUTIONS” |

“THE EXISTING ORGANIZATIONAL SITUATION AT THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL CONCERNED WITH ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND THEIR CURRENT AND PLANNED ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS” | 1âшphi1

“CONSERVATION, REHABILITATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF OUR ENVIRONMENT” |
Considering the timeliness and significance of the subjects to be discussed during the symposium, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus, offices, including local government subdivisions in greater Manila and government-owned or controlled corporations are hereby authorized to send on official time not more than three (3) participants from their offices to the four-day symposium, with reasonable transportation expenses and conference fees chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices. The names of their respective delegates should be submitted to the Anniversary Committee Secretariat located in the main floor of the National Library Building, Rizal Park, Manila, not later than March 1, 1972.
The delegates shall submit a report to the respective offices heads a report of their participation in the symposium within thirty (30) days after the termination thereof.
