AUTHORIZING THE SENDING OF DELEGATES TO THE FIRST NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT CULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

The Government Cultural Association (Samahang Pangkalinangan ng Pamahalaan ng Pilipinas), an association of cultural societies in government agencies, offices and corporations, will hold its First National Conference at Quezon City on May 10-16, 1972 on the theme “CULTURAL AWARENESS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE”.

The objective of this conference is to promote the cultural reawakening of government officials and employees so that they may become more efficient and more effective workers in the public service. It shall endeavor the cultural heritage of the Filipino and to cultivate awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of such an enviable legacy.

All departments, bureaus and offices, including government-owned and controlled corporation, as well as chartered cities and provinces are hereby authorized to send not more than three representatives to this Conference; provided, however, this limitation as to the number shall not apply to conference officials and members. Participants shall be allowed reasonable expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and conference fees, chargeable against the appropriation of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The delegates shall submit a report of their attendance in the conference to their respective agency heads.1âшphi1
