AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE OF GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE PHILIPPINE MUSLIM LAWYERS LEAGUE TO ATTEND ITS 2ND NATIONAL CONFERENCE.

The Philippine Muslim Lawyers League is holding a conference on December 15-16, 1971 in Manila and Quezon City, with the following objectives

1. To explore how the primacy of the rule of law can be restored in the troubled areas of Mindanao;

2. To study the root causes of the conflict between the inhabitants in the said areas;

3. To find peaceful and practical solutions to the deteriorating peace and order conditions in Mindanao;

4. To make recommendations that will establish a lasting peace in the Muslim areas; and

5. To define the stand of the Philippine Muslim Lawyers League vis-à-vis the present crisis in Mindanao.1âшphi1

In view of the importance and timeliness of the conference, government officials and employees who are members of the Philippine Muslim Lawyers League, are hereby authorized to attend the said conference on official time. For this purpose, they are entitled to such expenses as are allowable under existing regulations chargeable against the funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
