[ Memorandum Circular No. 518, November 18, 1971 ]

SUSPENDING THE PURCHASE BY ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICES OF FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING MOTOR VEHICLES.

Effective immediately and until further advice, the purchase by all government offices of furniture and equipment, including motor vehicles, except hospital supplies and essential supplies which are urgently needed, is hereby suspended. This suspension likewise applies to proposed procurements the funds for which have already been released by the Budget Commission, and proposed procurements under negotiated contracts already submitted to the Committee created under Executive Order No. 323, series of 1971.

All heads of departments, bureaus, offices and instrumentalities of the government including all government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby enjoined to comply strictly with the provisions of tins circular.1âшphi1
