URGING ATTENDANCE IN A SEMINAR FOR GOVERNMENT SUPERVISING INFORMATION OFFICERS.

The National Media Production Center has started a communications program geared towards giving training to top public relations and information personnel of government offices.  In this connection, a series of seminars will be offered free of charge.

The first seminar was on Public Relations held on July 5-14, 1971. The second is the seminar for Government Supervising Information Officers which will take place at the NMPC Conference Soon on October 18-29, 1971.

COMMUNICATIONS SEMINAR II: for Supervising Information Officers will be conducted with a view to heightening the awareness of government communications personnel of the magnitude of their tasks in the development of the nation.  The specific aims are:

1. to present new perspective for government agencies involved in communications work; and

2. to update their knowledge of media strategies and techniques in the light of the needs of a changing society.

All heads of department, chiefs of bureau and office, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send not more than two qualified representatives each to the seminar on official time.1âшphi1
