[ Memorandum Circular No. 507, September 28, 1971 ]

REQUIRING THE TRANSFER TO THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION WITHOUT COST OFFICE EQUIPMENT AND FURNITURE NO LONGER NEEDED AS WELL AS UNSERVICEABLE ONES WHICH CAN STILL BE REPAIRED AND ARE AWAITING FINAL DISPOSITION.

The fire that gutted the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Civil Service Commission building on September 17, 1971, destroyed a good number of the Commission’s office equipment, furniture and supplies and materials.1âшphi1

In order that the said Commission nay be able to resume its operation again, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby requested to transfer immediately to the said Commission without cost office equipment and furniture no longer needed as well as unserviceable ones which can still be repaired and are awaiting final disposition.

The Civil Service Commission is now temporarily housed at the Ablaza Building, E. Rodriguez St., Quezon City. The Chief of the Administrative Deparmtent of the Commission nay be contacted in connection with such transfer.

This Circular takes effect immediately.
