URGING ATTENDANCE OF OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NATIONAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATIONS TO ATTEND THE FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF SAID ASSOCIATIONS TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 16-17, 1971
As principal activity of Civil Service Week 1971), the officers and members of the Board of Directors of national employee organizations in the government service will hold a general assembly at the Development Bank of the Philippines on September 16 and 17, 1971, on the theme: “Human Rights and the Government Worker.”
The assembly participants will assess general policies affecting employee-employer relations in the government service arid discuss problems and implementational deficiencies attendant to such policies. The participants will also strive to arrive at a concensus on current issues in this area with the view to subsequently presenting formal proposals to the Constitutional Convention.
Officers and Members of the Board of directors of the various national associations are hereby authorized to attend the general assembly.1âшphi1 Those coming from the greater Manila area shall be entitled to conference fees and reasonable transportation expenses only while those coming from the provinces shall be entitled to expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and conference fees, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
Participants in this Assembly shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their attendance and participation.
