URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE CONVENTION OF FILIPINO ARCHITECTS.

The Convention of Filipino Architects will be held by the Association of Philippine Architects and the League of Philippine Architects under the auspices of the Council of Filipino Architects and with the technical assistance of the National Science Development Board at the Social Security Building, Quezon City, on April 16-18, 1971, on the theme: “Architecture in Environmental Development.”

Measures relative to environmental planning which are imperatively needed on account of the accelerated pace of demographic changes, urbanization and industrialization of our society will be discussed in the convention.

In view of the importance and timeliness of the convention theme, all heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations and local government subdivisions, are hereby urged to send not more than one (1) environmental planner or architect or engineer to the convention on official time provided that the total number thereof shall not exceed 150. From this, 100 shall come from the greater Manila area and 50 from the provinces. Delegates coming from the greater Manila area shall be entitled to conference fees and reasonable transportation expenses only. Those coming from the provinces shall be entitled to expenses for conference fees, subsistance and transportation fare. All those expenses shall be chargeable against the funds of their respective offices subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The delegates shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their attendance and participation in the convention.1âшphi1
