URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE 5TH NATIONAL CONVENTION OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WORLD WAR VETERANS LEAGUE, INC.
The Government Employees World War Veterans Inc. (GEWWVL), with the technical assistance of the Civil Service Commission, will hold its 5th National Convention on April 22-23, 1971 in the Social Hall, Social Security System, Diliman, Quezon City, on the theme: “REFORM THROUGH PEACEFUL ACTIVISM.”
At this convention will be discussed measures by which the veterans in the government services can affectively help in the drive of the Administration against criminality.
All heads of local government subdivisions and national government agencies including government-owned or controlled corporations, which have veterans chapters, are hereby authorized to send on official time nor more than five (5) delegates from each chapter to this convention, excluding those who are incharge of the affair provided that the total thereof shall not exceed 250. Of this, 200 delegates shall come from the Greater Manila area who are hereby authorized expenses for transportation and conference fees only. 50 delegates shall come from the provinces who are hereby authorized reasonable expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and conference fees, chargeable against the appropriation of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
Delegates shall submit to their respective agency heads a report of their attendance and participation in the convention.1âшphi1
This accordingly amends Memorandum Circular No. 428 dated January 22, 1971, relative to this same matter.
