[ Memorandum Circular No. 340, March 31, 1970 ]

PRESCRIBING THE WORK HOURS DURING THE SUMMER SEASON, APRIL 1 TO JUNE 15, 1970, INCLUSIVE.

In view of the exigencies of the service and the demands of the times, such as the need for continuity in the discharge of government functions, and in order to afford government employees ample time for weekend visits to the province and to promote local tourism, heads of departments and of independent offices, as well as of provincial, city and municipal government, are hereby granted the discretion to group the employees under then into two for the purpose of letting these groups enjoy a three-day weekend alternately during the summer season (April 1 to June 15, 1970).

The usual office hours (8:00a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m. Mondays through Fridays) will be observed, except that the group scheduled for a three-day weekend will work only from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays.

This Circular shall not apply to the offices in the City of Baguio, whether national, provincial or municipal, and to officers and employees engaged in field work.1âшphi1
