URGING ALL OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES TO OBSERVE WITH FITTING CEREMONIES THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE LANDING OF THE AMERICAN FORCES FOR THE LIBERATION OF THE PHILIPPINES AT PALO, LEYTE, ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 1969.

WHEREAS, Monday, October 20, 1969, marks the 25th anniversary of the landing of the American forces for the liberation of the Philippines at Palo, Leyte, which paved the way for the liberation of our people after almost three years of Japanese occupation:

WHEREFORE, all heads of departments, chiefs of bureaus, offices and government instrumentalities, and provincial governors and city and municipal mayors are hereby enjoined to observe the day in their respective offices and jurisdictions with fitting ceremonies to remind our people that the price of freedom is preparedness and eternal vigilance.
