URGING PROPER OBSERVANCE OF CIVIL SERVICE WEEK.

Pursuant to Proclamation No. 285 dated August 13, 1964, Civil Service Week falls on September 13-19 of every year. The annual celebrations are aimed at generating recognition and appreciation and appreciation of the significance of the civil service in the building of a more progressive nation.

This year, the theme of the celebration is “The Constitution on the Civil Service.”

To insure the success of the observance, all heads of departments and agencies on the national and local levels, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby enjoined to hold appropriate ceremonies, activities, and programs in their respective offices and localities. Reports on activities held during the week may be forwarded to the Civil Service Commission for inclusion in the consolidated report of the Commission.
