MODIFYING THE CIRCULAR LETTER OF THIS OFFICE DATED JANUARY 18, 1956, CLARIFYING THE PROVISIONS OF ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 171 DATED JANUARY 7, 1956.

The circular letter of this Office dated January 18, 1956, clarifying the provisions of Administrative Order No. 171 dated January 7, 1956, regarding the submission of appointment proposals to the Office of the President by all department heads and other appointing officers or entities in the Executive Branch of the Government, including those in the corporations owned or controlled by the Government, is hereby modified so as to require, beginning August 1, 1969, the submission only of appointment proposals involving positions with a salary of not less than ?4,404.00 per annum, whether the appointments be original or promotional.1âшphi1
