AMENDING FURTHER MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 138 DATED DECEMBER 15, 1967, AS AMENDED BY MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 255 DATED APRIL 23, 1969.
Memorandum Circular No. 138, series of 1967, as amended by Memorandum Circular No. 255, current series, prescribing the policy regarding the grant of representation allowances to certain local government officials is hereby further amended so as to include municipal officials among those entitled to representation allowances and to fix the following rates for said officials:
(A) For Municipalities which are provincial capitals:
1. For municipalities belonging to 1st class-1 to 3.

Municipal Councils may authorize, subject to the approval by this Office, the granting of representation allowances to the officials mentioned above at rate not exceeding those fixed herein depending on their financial stability, provided that it shall be strictly on reimbursement basis and that the amount involved should be included in the determination of the legal percentage allowable for salaries under the provisions of Section 2299 of the Revised Administrative Code as amended by Republic Act No. 2368.
