AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF CERTAIN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE 7TH ANNUAL CONVENTION-SEMINAR OF THE ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTANTS OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC.

A convention-seminar will be held in Baguio City on June 2-6, 1969, sponsored by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP), on the theme: “Improved Accounting for Progressive Government.”

The principal objectives of this convention-seminar are (a) to devise ways and means of up-dating the accounting procedures and techniques in the accounting service in the government; (b) to impress upon the Accountant his relationship with and responsibility to the people he works with, the management and the public; (c) to involve the Accountant in research and study for the purpose of expanding the chart of accounts so as to provide for an economic and functional classification of accounts.

All heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send to the seminar their chief accountants or the heads to their accounting units and not more than three (3) employees who are members of the AGAP. This limitation in number, however, does not apply…. officials and employees who are directly in charge of the various arrangements and/or preparations for the seminar. Their attendance shall be on official time, with expenses for transportation subsistence and lodging, as well as seminar fees, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The participants shall render a report to their respective agency heads on their participation and attendance in the convention-seminar.1âшphi1
