AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF CERTAIN GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES IN A NATIONAL WORKSHOP-SEMINAR ON RURAL COMMUNICATIONS AND THE NEED FOR A CONTINUOUS NATIONWIDE CAMPAIGN FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF MORE FARMERS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION.

The Rural Broadcasters Council will sponsor a National Workshop-Seminar on rural communications, with emphasis on radio and the need for a continuous nationwide campaign for the organization of more farmers cooperative associations, which will be held at the International Institute for Rural Reconstruction (IRR) training center at Silang, Cavite, on May 5 to 9, 1969.

The objective of the workshop-seminar is to help produce better-trained information writers, editors and rural broadcasters who could assist in enlightening rural people on modern ways of improving their livelihood under a basic agro-industrial economy with emphasis on the need for the organization of more farmers cooperative association.

In this connection all heads of agencies, bureaus and offices under the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Department of Commerce and Industry, Department of Education, Department of Health, National Food and Agriculture Council, Presidential Army on Community Development (PACD), Agricultural Productivity Commission (APC), Land Authority and Philippine Broadcasting Services are hereby authorized to send at least two (2) participants to the Workshop-Seminar on official time with expenses for transportation subsistence, lodging and seminar fees chargeable against the appropriations of their respective subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

Participants shall submit to their respective offices a report on their attendance and participation in the seminar.1âшphi1

The Rural Broadcasters Council may request private broadcasters to attend the workshop-seminar, provided their expenses shall be borne either personally or by their respective agencies or sponsors.
