AUTHORIZING CITY HEALTH OFFICERS WHO ARE EX-OFFICIO LOCAL CIVIL REGISTRARS TO ATTEND A TWO-DAY SEMINAR ON CIVIL REGISTRATION.

The Bureau of the Census and Statistics, in line with the nation-wide program to improve the services on civil registration, will conduct a two-day seminar on civil registration in Manila on February 13-14, 1969.

The seminar is intended primarily for City Health Officers who are at the same time Local Civil Registrars their respective cities in order to give them the necessary training on civil registration, of births, deaths marriages and to impart to them uniform knowledge, interpretation and application of the marriage and civil register laws and the implementing rules and regulations.

In view of the need to improve civil registration services in the country, all City Mayors are hereby authorized to send their City Health Officers who are ex-officio Local Civil Registrars to the two-day seminar official business, their travel and other necessary expenses to be borne by the cities concerned, subject to availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
