[ Memorandum Circular No. 225, January 14, 1969 ]
URGING THE ATTENDANCE OF GOVERNMENT WOMEN WORKERS IN THE CELEBRATION OF THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE APPROVAL OF THE MAGNA CARTA OF WOMEN.
Ceremonies commemorating the first anniversary of the approval of the Magna Carta of Women (The Declaration on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women by the United Nations) will be hold throughout the country on January 31, 1969, under the auspices of the Civic Assembly of Women of the Philippines.
In view of the significance of the occasion, all workers in the government are hereby urged to participate in the celebration. Since the CAWP will require individual participants to share in the expenses in the amount of four pesos (P4.00) each corresponding to the cost of a Declarant Pin and a ticket, it is emphasized that participation shall be purely voluntary. Further details are available iron the CAWP and its affiliate organizations.
All heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations and local government subdivisions, are hereby enjoined to disseminate the contents of this Circular to ensure the success of the celebrations.
