URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE 17TH ANNUAL CONVENTION AND SYMPOSIUM OF THE PHILIPPINE ASSOCIATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENCE.

The Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science (PHILAAS) will hold its 17th Annual Convention and Symposium on December 4-6, 1968, at the NSDB, Science Pavilion, Herran, Manila, on the theme “SPECIAL SCIENCE FUND, ITS IMPACT ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN THE PHILIPPINES.”

Department, bureaus and. offices, as well as city, provincial and municipal governments, including government-owned or controlled corporations, which have PHILAAS Members, are hereby authorized to send not more than three (3) delegates to the convention in addition to the officers of the Association who are in charge of the affair. Their attendance shall be on official time and their expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and convention fees in connection therewith shall be chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements. Each office may send delegates in excess of three but their attendance shall be on official tine only.1âшphi1

The delegates shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their attendance and participation in the convention.
