URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE CONVENTION-SEMINAR OF THE ASSOCIATION OF THE ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENT INTERNAL AUDITORS (AGIA).

The Association of Government Internal Auditors (AGIA) will held a convention-seminar in Baguio City on November 20-22, 1968, on the theme: “Internal Auditing as a means to a more effective and efficient Public Administration.”

The objective of the convention-seminar is to acquaint the members and other government officials and employees with the modern trends of internal control as applied effectively in both the government arid private sectors. This will enable the members of the Association who are the internal auditors of the various national government agencies and corporations to adopt and introduce such modern techniques and ideas at their respective offices, thus maximizing efficiency and economy in the administration of good government.1âшphi1

Heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices including government-owned or controlled corporations, hereby authorized to allow the attendance of the chiefs of their internal auditing unit, as well as those who are members of the AGIA, to attend the convention-seminar on official business, that is, with expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and convention fees, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

The delegates shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their attendance and participation in the convention-seminar.
