URGING ATTENDANCE IN ACTIVITIES OF THE KAPISAN NG MGA KAWANI NG PAMAHALAAN IN OBSERVANCE OF SAVINGS AND THRIFT YEAR.
The KAPISAN NG MGA KAWANI NG PAMAHALAAN (KKP), with the assistance of the Central Bank of the Philippines, will hold a series of conferences, symposia, seminars and other related activities relative to the observance of Savings and Thrift Year under Proclamation No. 354 of the President of the Philippines dated February 22, 1968, as follows:

The theme of the discussions is “NATIONAL PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT THRU SAVINGS.” The main objective is to focus the attention of all sectors of our economy on the urgent need for capital formation through savings and the practice of thrift among our people, and to induce them, particularly the thousands of government officials and employees, to participate and get themselves involved in the Administration’s development program.
In view of the significance of these activities, all heads of department and chiefs of bureau and office, including local subdivisions and government-own or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to s not more than three (3) representatives each to the activities scheduled to be held in the place nearest their agencies on official time, with reasonable expenses for transportation, subsistence and lodging chargeable against funds of their respective offices, subject to the availability thereof and the usual audit.
The participants shall render to their respective office heads a report on their attendance in those activities.
