AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF CERTAIN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE CONVENTION-SEMINAR OF THE ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTANTS OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC.
The Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc., will sponsor a three-day convention-seminar in Baguio City on June 3-5 1968, on the subject: “Effective Fiscal Administration – the Key to Economic Progress.”
The convention-seminar is geared towards the following Objectives: (a) to inculcate upon the Accountant continuing interest in his work and responsibilities; (b) to emphasize self-development and training for professional competence; and (e) to reappraise the Accountant’s relationship with the people he works with, the management, and the public.
All heads of departments and chiefs of bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send to the seminar their chief accountants or the heads of their accounting units and not more than three (3) of their employees who are members of the AGAP. Their attendance shall be on official time, with expenses for transportation, subsistence and lodging, as well as seminar fees, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
The participants shall render a report to their respective agency heads on their participation and attendance in the convention-seminar.1âшphi1
