ENJOINING ATTENDANCE IN THE WORKSHOP-CONFERENCE ON AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT BROADCASTING MID WRITING TO BE HELD IN MANILA FROM MAY 7 TO 11, 1968.

The Agriculture Broadcasters and Writers Organization of the Philippines (ABWRO), in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the National Land Reform Council and the Philippine National FAO Committee, will hold its first national workshop-conference on the role of agriculture broadcasters and writers in nation-building in Manila from May 7 to 11, 1968.

The conference aims to explore the various ways by which mass communication media can be utilized to the best advantage in agricultural development, particularly increasing food production, and community development.

In view of the vital role of mass media in disseminating information on community development and food production programs and techniques, all heads of departments, bureaus and offices concerned are hereby urged to send at least one representative to this workshop-conference. The participants’ attendance shall be on official time and their expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and seminar fees in connection therewith shall be chargeable against the appropriation of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

The participants shall submit t their respective agency heads a report on their attendance and participation the workshop-conference.1âшphi1
