DIRECTING STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 96, SERIES OF 1967, AND THE USE OF PILIPINO IN OFFICIAL LETTERHEADS AND IN OATHS OF OFFICE OF ALL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.
In connection with the annual celebration of Balagtas Day on April 2nd this year, the President directs strict compliance with Executive Order No. 96 dated October 24, 1967, decreeing that all government edifices, buildings and offices by named in Pilipino.
The President further directs that henceforth oaths of office of government officials shall also be in Filipino. Moreover, all departments, offices, agencies arid instrumentalities of the Government shall use in all official letterheads the Pilipino translation, together With its English counterpart, of the official titles or names of said offices.
It is likewise desired that copies of the enclosed materials on the correct translation in Pilipino of oaths of office of government officials and the names of respective offices and agencies be secured from the Institute of National Language.1âшphi1
