URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE 3RD NATIONAL CONVENTION OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES WORLD WAR VETERANS LEAGUE, INC.

The Government Employees World War Veterans League, Inc. (GEWWVL), with the cooperation of the Philippine Veterans Administration, the Civil Service Commission and the Management Service of the Budget Commission, will hold its 3rd National Convention on March 16 and 17, 1967, in Manila or suburbs, on theme: “The Veterans’ Role in the Drive for National Discipline.”

This convention will enable veterans in the government service be explore ways and means of how, with their combined efforts and resources, they could effectively participate in the drive for national discipline and the crusade against all forms of illegal undertakings.

Departments, bureaus and offices, including government-owned or controlled corporations, as well as local governments, which have GEWWVL chapters, are hereby authorized to send not more than five (5) delegates from each chapter to this convention. Their attendance shall be on official tine and their expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging, and convention fees shall be chargeable against appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.

Delegates shall submit to their respective agency heads a report of their attendance and participation in the convention.1âшphi1
