MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 84, November 11, 1966 ] URGING ATTENDANCE IN THE 19TH ANNUAL CONVENTION AND SYMPOSIUM OF THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION. In conjunction with the observance of Government Employees Week, the Philippine Government Employees’ Association (PGEA) will hold its 19th Annual Convention and Symposium on December 7-9, 1966, in Manila, on the theme “Spotlight On The Role Of The Government Employee In The Mandate For National Greatness.” Departments, bureaus and offices, as well as city, provincial and municipal governments, including government-owned or controlled corporations, which have PGEA Chapters, are hereby authorized to sent out not more than five members from each chapter to the convention. Their attendance shall be on official time and their expenses for transportation, subsistence, lodging and convention fees in connection therewith shall be chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements. Each PGEA Chapter may send delegates in excess of five but the attendance of those in excess of five shall be on official time only.
