MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 17, February 18, 1966 ] DIRECTING ALL OFFICES IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE GOVERNMENT TO ASSIST THE FUND CAMPAIGN OF THE RAMON MAGSAYSAY AWARD FOUNDATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RAMON MAGSAYSAY CENTER. WHEREAS, the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation will undertake the construction and establishment of the Ramon Magsaysay Center as a memorial to the late President Ramon Magsaysay. WHEREAS, there is a need for Philippine participation in said project to demonstrate the Filipinos’ respect and affection for the late President Ramon Magsaysay and their continuing faith in his ideals of service to the country and devotion to freedom. WHEREAS, a fund campaign will he launched to reflect Philippine participation in said project.1âшphi1 WHEREAS, the fund campaign starts on March 17, 1966 and ends on March 17, 1967, the 10th death anniversary of the late President Ramon Magsaysay. WHEREFORE, all departments, bureaus, offices, agencies and instrumentalities, including government owned or controlled corporations, and provincial, municipal and city governments are hereby directed to assist the Fund campaign of the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation for the construction and establishment of the Ramon Magsaysay Center.
